I Finally Opened My Eyes

I’ve opened my eyes finally,
What I see all around me,
Are atrocities of consciousness,
Blossoming in society.

Pornography’s on regular television,
Religion is hypocrisy for profit,
Just business,
For aristocracy.

The people are enslaved,
By the corporations and governments,
That they create,
The truth is too putrid to stomach.

The Atheists cling to logic,
And theists to deities,
While neither see,
You and me consciously creating reality.

Life is simply cause and effect,
So the origin of poison,
Is in consciousness,
(Pause and reflect.)

Meditate and find the knowledge inside,
And you’ll begin to see,
Reality when finally,
You open your eyes.

  1. Ed I really enjoy reading your work. How do you think of allthese great works? You have a wide vocabulary span. Make sure you copy write all your poems...You should write a poetry book with all your works of poetry included. Your work makes you think about what your sayng, verses just reading it and saying that was nice.

  2. @Lady Bug,
Thank you so much for the complements. To answer your question (How do you think of all these great works?), these are just my feelings and opinions on what I experience and see.

I read a lot of books and that greatly helps my process. Some of these poems (like Glass Hearts) are among my early works when I first began to write (around 16 yrs old).

I think everyone has something they are good at and I feel like this is my thing. I love to write.

    Thank you for visiting,
    Blessings and Love
