I Finally Opened My Eyes

I’ve opened my eyes finally,

What I see all around me,

Are atrocities of consciousness,

Blossoming in society.

Pornography’s on regular television,

Religion is hypocrisy for profit,

Just business,

For aristocracy.

The people are enslaved,

By the corporations and governments,

That they create,

The truth is too putrid to stomach.

The Atheists cling to logic,

And theists to deities,

While neither see,

You and me consciously creating reality.

Life is simply cause and effect,

So the origin of poison,

Is in consciousness,

(Pause and reflect.)

Meditate and find the knowledge inside,

And you’ll begin to see,

Reality when finally,

You open your eyes.

Glass Hearts

I swear God gave us hearts of glass,
That shatter when between hands they pass,
Fragile and transparent when looked upon,
Empty and cracked when one use has gone.

These hearts of glass give empty hopes,
That one may be renewed when it has been broke,
And then that glass is shattered again,
When we find that broken glass does not mend.

These hearts of glass are easily won,
But hard to protect from the damage that comes,
The damage that comes from the art of love,
The art these hearts of glass were made of.

Fisherman

There was a fisherman,
He set out to sea to find his destiny.
In the sea the fisherman threw his line in.
He caught something big he thought he could win,
But that something big pulled him in.
He could've let go at any time,
Had it not been for struggle with pride.
But the man as a whole took sides with his soul,
And tussled til the moment he died.

Love Is Like the Wind

Love is like the wind,
You never know where it comes from,
You never know where it's going.

Taking you places you can't predict,
Filling your members while it's blowing.
Letting you fly naively,
Unpredictably.

Moving the stillest waters in the highest coral,
Driving back the fiercest of objects.
Conjuring up the mightiest of storms,
Both creative and destructive: cold and warm.

It's mysterious and uncontrollable,
Being often avoided and planned for,
But yet inevitable and spontaneous.
Always catching its victim unaware.

It carries the sharpest piercing objects in its furry,
And the sweetest most gentle kiss in its innocence,
Being both unwanted when cold and fierce,
And praised when warm and gentle.

Love is indeed like the wind,
Pushing the graceful bird ever higher towards the sun,
Keeping the meekest insect pinned on a leaf,
Carrying the amusing kite of the lonely child.

Being chased by many and never caught,
Never graspable or tangible,
Never created or induced,
Only felt and experienced when it moves,

When it blows.

Midnight Blossom

Deep in a desert of dry dark cold,
A midnight blossom grows,
Stretching its roots through the dense desolate earth,
Where no flourishing others can go.

With dim moonlight to guide its path,
The midnight blossom sprouts upward,
With only cold wind and no sun to take in,
The blossom is discouraged from its birth.

The midnight blossom deprived of sweet nature,
Stands defying the odds in a desert,
Where none living can lie and inhabitants die,
The sweet blossom blossoms forever.

With no admiring crowd or object around,
The midnight blossom grows,
Defying the odds, growing close to the stars,
Deep, deep in a desert of dry dark cold.

Adversity

The difference between reality and fantasy,
 Is adversity.
Working for the best outcome,
 Despite of what the worst could be.
Aspiring to be great,
 In the midst of those who hate you.
While loving them unconditionally,
 Despite the advantage they take of you.
Turning the other cheek,
 To a world that constantly pops you.
While giving your wisdom and insight,
 Despite of the way they mock you.
It's never giving up,
 No matter how tough life gets.
It's keeping your goals ahead of you,
 So you won't do something you regret.
It's picking yourself back up,
 Whenever you fall down.
Because adversity kicks you twice as hard,
 When you refuse to get off of the ground.
Trying is just the beginning,
 Adversity sets the pace.
And life something we can never lose,
 If we don't stop running the race.

One

One moment of criminal excitement,
And joy,
One pull of the trigger,
One life was destroyed.

One day, one minute,
One reckless decision,
Is all it took,
To step beyond the limit.

One natural law broken,
One's innocence taken,
One's family frightened,
One's mentality shaken.

And all for one laugh,
One rank,
In one gang,
Some one's life scared with immeasurable pain.

In the eye of one mother,
One son's image changed,
From the apple of her eye,
To the source of her pain.

And now I'm the cause of one's sanity,
One's tears,
Who'll suffer for a lifetime,
And I for only one year.

And not one thing I can say,
Will make it alright,
It only takes one decision,
To mess up one's life.

Poverty's Prisoners

Empty pockets and dreams of living lavishly,
Is the darkest torment I've ever known feels like reality,
Blown out of proportion and multiplied by a thousand times the time it takes,
To awaken millions of clouded minds.

Divided by the forces of gravity holding us down,
Not geology but depravity, it's going aroun,
"We abase to abound" that's what the preacher is telling me,
Passing his plate passed me praying for payments on another jeep.

While our brothers and sisters fall victim to fellonies for survival,
We're building million dollar facilities for revival; listen.
To the gunshots of the father-less children,
Lost in this wildersness, the sound of us dying of ignorance.

Carrying on the tradition of being poverty's prisoners,
Life is the sentence behind fences of strife and contention.
Open your eyes and you'll be looking poverty square,
Open your mind, and realize the poverty's there.

How Can I Explain?

How can I explain in words and phrases,

That which cannot be contained?

How can I contain in mind the amazing,

Energy I cannot explain?

The particles of photons, muons, and gluons,

The forces when electromagnetically fused are:

Life.

Consciousness moving out and creating,

Sustaining and building,

Cohesively making:

Love.

Giving birth to creation,

Intelligence, feelings, impulses of being,

Activity, stillness, revealing:

I.

The “I”-ness of me-ness,

The Christ within Jesus,

And all who can see this as purposeful reason,

Will see from within the light.

The word ‘God’ just does not suffice.

The Definition of Darkness

The definition of darkness,

Is the absence of light,

In the presence of light,

Blindness is the absence of sight.

Fight as we may,

We remain enslaved in behaviors,

Indentured to the ambitions,

Of invisible slavers.

Creators of our reality,

Unconscious betrayers,

Of the impetus’ nature,

On the backs of our neighbors.

Castles are erected,

Love is rejected in turn,

Empty stomachs churn,

The connection even baffles the learned.

Churches are praying,

Collection plates are passing you by,

Societies die,

The question you should be asking is why.

The definition of darkness,

Is the absence of light,

In the presence of light,

Blindness is the absence of sight.
